South West - Region - Bunbury

The NCWA established a HACC funded neurological community nursing program in the Southwest region in 2001 with one nurse. There are now two nurses in the region with the office base in Bunbury. They cover the region from Pinjarra to Augusta , Denmark , Bridgetown , Manjimup, Nannup, Collie and Harvey (see map).

This is a free service for people with neurological conditions.

This service includes:

• Home visits
• Assessment of conditions
• Liaison with GPs, specialists and other health professionals
• Information and education about neurological conditions
• Respite service advice
• Support group information and education
• Dementia testing clinics
