Professor Charles Watson is a neurobiologist and public health physician. He has over 25 of experience teaching brain anatomy to medical and science students. He has held many senior public health and academic positions, including that of Chief Health Officer for WA. Professor Watson is the Executive Dean of Health Sciences at Curtin University of Technology.

Bruce Fielding is the Treasurer of the NCWA Board. He has a Bachelor of Business in Accounting and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia.

Professor Harvey has been a Research Professor at UWA since 2001. His research focuses on the use of cell/tissue transplantation, gene therapy and the repair of the central nervous system (CNS) with particular emphasis on the visual system and spinal cord.

Sue Hart is an experienced Director of Nursing who brings a good understanding of community service, care provision and nursing governance to the Board of the NCWA.
She is the Director of Nursing at Lady Lawley Cottage, a facility providing respite care services to children suffering from physical and/or intellectual disabilities.

Terry Slevin is the Director of Education and Research at The Cancer Council WA. He holds a Masters degree in Public Health and an Honours degree in Psychology. He is an honorary Senior Lecturer in Public Health at Curtin University and Adjunct Senior Research Fellow at the Centre for Behavioural Research in Cancer Control.
Dr Rochelle Watkins graduated as a registered physiotherapist from Curtin University in 1993 and practiced in regional and rural WA. She has been employed as a lecturer and researcher at both the University of Western Australia (UWA) and Curtin University. She completed her PhD IN 1999. Her current position is Senior Research Fellow at Curtin University.
David Freedman has been active in the neuroscience arena for many years. He is a founding member of the NCWA. David's main focus is in providing support to the Neurofibromatosis community.
Dr Gilly Smith is the Post-Graduate Nursing Programs Coordinator at the School of Nursing, Midwifery and Post-Graduate medicine at Edith Cowan University. She lectures primarily in post-graduate critical care and under-graduate ethics/law. With a military, intensive care nursing and clinical governance background, she has interests in critical care nursing, quality and safety, post-traumatic stress syndrome, bioethics and health law.
