Professor Peter Silbert

Clinical Professor Peter Silbert completed his undergraduate medical degree, graduating with honours, at the University of Western Australia in 1984. Peter undertook his residency and postgraduate medical training at Royal Perth Hospital and completed his neurology training through the Western Australian State Neurology training program. His post graduate fellowships were undertaken at the Mayo Clinic, in Rochester, Minnesota USA, where Peter specialised in clinical neurology and neurophysiology. Returning to Perth in 1994, Peter has worked as a neurologist, neurophysiologist and epileptologist, in the private and public health system, moving fully to the community and private sector in 2012. Peter’s private practice focuses on pain and neurophysiology, working closely with spinal and orthopaedic surgeons, neurosurgeons and plastic surgeons, managing patients with spinal and limb musculoskeletal and related neurological problems. Peter has an active role in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, Teleheath and community neurology. He also holds regular education sessions for the Neurocare team.
