About Our Clinic

The Neurological Council of WA’s Headache & Migraine Clinic is a nurse practitioner-led, community-based service designed to:

  • Provide faster, accessible care for people with headache and migraine

  • Reduce pressure on GPs and neurologists

  • Support people to better understand and manage their condition

We focus on helping people with chronic headaches, acute migraines, medication overuse headache and more.

What We Do

Led by Nurse Practitioner Adrienna Elliot, our team provides holistic care including:

  • Comprehensive neurological assessments

  • Diagnosis of migraine and headache subtypes

  • Education on triggers and symptom tracking

  • Individualised treatment plans (medications and lifestyle approaches)

  • Ongoing review and support

  • Referrals to neurologists or other specialists for complex cases

  • Participation in research and evidence translation

We work in partnership with your GP, neurologist or other treating professionals.

Who Can Access the Clinic?

Anyone living with headache or migraine is welcome.
You can:

  • Self-refer

  • Be referred by your GP or health care provider

Cost and Appointments

  • Bulk billed through Medicare

  • No out-of-pocket cost to patients
